Hi All,

Just wondered if anyone who is self employed in the UK has moved abroad to the US (Florida) and could let me know how much tax they pay over there compared to the UK. I'm thinking about moving to the US and running my business from there instead.

I have a ltd company in the UK and lets say I earn £200,000 per year in the UK. At the moment, I would pay 20% corporation tax on my profits. and anything I want to take out of my business over around £40k, I need to pay 25% on currently.

If I moved to florida, and registered my company their instead, what tax would I need to pay in comparison?

Thanks

Can't help you, though am interested in the information you get back, but just wanted to say ahhhhhhh, don't you just love dividends :D

You don't have to go so far. Remember UK has it's own rules regarding tax in Europe.....

Not from next year though :(

Doesn't look great does it, but it hasn't been passed yet and we have a further two budgets this year too. Can't even take entrepreneur relief now :(

Sorry for going OT
