I need to buy something from Amazon and not sure if i can buy it through one of my a-stores.

Anyone know?

You might get away with one or two purchases but they'll soon pick up on it and you won't get commission when buying for yourself. I don't know if it's delivery address or credit card that they pick up on.

no i don't think you can, i tried it and i didn't receive a payment so with me it was a no(i bet everybody tries though)

If that isn't the most ludicrous policy, I just don't know. So just because you're an affiliate, your money's not as good as anyone you refer? Double mediocre commission will kill them I guess :(

Like I said a friend of mine ;) tried it a few times. First order he got comms on then he didn't seem to get them after that.

I'd be looking for a new aff. It's not as if they pay out fortunes :(

With a few affiliates a friend and I cross shop to save the hassle but its in most t's & c's to not use your own.

They do it so that people don't sign up to just to get a discount.

If your store is registered to your company and you personally buy something using your store, then presumably your personal purchase is from a different legal entity to the affiiliate that owns the store?

I used to have my affiliate account on a different email than the one I use for my purchases and I did get the commissions, however, at some point I changed the email address and now I don't.
