ok been away for 2 weeks and they shut down deleteing, tagadmin dosnt work (thanks nominet) looked on the bulk update page and they are taking code steroids now.

can anyone help me what the command are to do a bulk nameserver update.

or does anyone have a system for sale until tagadmin comes back to life.

Hi Paul, the following will update all domains that were registered between the two dates:

filter: created >= '20070612' and created <= '20070617'
update: nservers = [ 'ns1.nameserver.co.uk','ns3.nameserver.co.uk' ]

Thats the same command I was using before the upgrade and it still works.

Hmm, bit of a guess but you could try:

filter: key = 'domain1.co.uk' and key = 'domain2co.uk and key = 'domain3.org.uk'
update: nservers = [ 'ns1.nameserver.co.uk','ns3.nameserver.co.uk' ]

Bit of a pain in the ass listing 50 domains in there though!

thanks grant, yes nominet are a pain in the arse at times. i heard that nominet are doing an online system so you can change domain details on the online system, has anyone heard about this?

Hi Paul,

I think that is only to update registration details and nothing to do with actual updates to a domain - ie nameservers..

Although as part of the new transfers, they are including TAG= so nominet change that with the transfer.
