I'm wanting to know if .co.uk domain names can be registered to more than one person?

I.e. Can I buy a .co.uk and register it to myself and my brother so we're joint owners of the domain name?

You could set up a company between the both of you and then register in the company name.

That defeats the whole objective of what I'm aiming to accomplish to be fair.
I appreciate the reply thought mate. Cheers :)

We sold bridgingthegap co.uk which has six joint registrants, I think that is the maximum number allowed by Nominet.

Yes, you can register in more than one individuals name. Not sure about six being the max though. I defer to Keys on this one.

While we're on the subject of transferring .co.uk's I have another query.
Why do we need to complete the nominet transfer form in order to pass it over to someone else?

Would we just be able to change the registrants details via your registrar control panel and then change the ISP tag (if required) in order to pass it over to the new owner?

The only way to change the registrant name is via the Nominet transfer forms.
