I would like to try and contact some end users regarding a couple of my .co.uk domains, but I have no idea how to word the email, would anyone happen to have a template of what they usually send, that I could borrow, please?

This was given to me by Chris Holland, never used it though:

Dear Sirs,
We are selling the domain domain.co.uk. This is the very first time since 1996 that this important domain has ever been available on the open market. The domain is currently on sale for just £875 + VAT.
Savvy players such as B&Q with their diy.com, British Gas with their gas.co.uk or Lloyds TSB with their insurance.co.uk domains have for many years reaped enormous rewards and marketing kudos from owning THE prime generic domains that define their respective industries. Nothing in the mindset of the public is more memorable than a domain that "does exactly what it says on the tin"!
Furthermore, most of our clients are now finding that prime domains such as this pay for themselves within weeks rather than months by virtue of the extra business that they drive to their websites by means of type in traffic and greatly enhanced search engine positions.
Please feel free to get in touch if this is of interest.
Best regards,

You

Careful with regards DRS, it's a mine field of finding an end user who you would think could benefit from it, because they may also have rights to it.

You know how schizophrenic the DRS can be from time to time.

It might sound a bit strange, but if you are aiming at selling into corporate organisations, it is often better to find the name of the MD and send your message by snail mail. A targetted letter often works, whereas a serious email gets deleted as spam - or doesn't reach the target.

And recorded or registered, printed letterhead, printed envelope doesn't go amiss ;)
Call the company up, ask who their MD, or better still MARKETING dept. executives are, perhaps also CC to their TECH dept., as many in marketing still don't get the true end-user value of domains.
