The missus has booked another 3 days in Dublin for my birthday next month and, whilst Ive been 3 times now, Id like to do something different this time.

Ive done Temple Bar to death, Ive seen the Liffey etc etc

Are there any Emerald Isle Acorners who can let me in to a few secrets of what else to do?

I wont be sober enough at any point to consider hiring a car and I dont do public transport, so close enough for a cab or within walking distance would be grand.

Thanks!

well as i've been out in dublin for work for the past 6 months its suffice to say there aint much else to do.

I thought that might be the case, its not the biggest place in the world after all.

Im more than happy to stay in Temple Bar all day, that is NOT a problem!

Thanks

get the train up the coast, i think the town was called malahide but its a coastal village with pubs and a little more fresh air than the american filled temple bar. its not that far and will make a change from town

Take the guinness tour, not sure if u will be sober afterwards :)

I still have two digital tickets worth 20 or something which u can have, just send me a PM

its not free - you get one token - then you have to steal someone elses!

i'd say avoid the guiness tour, completely over rated, you dont actually see the factory side of things, its purely a historical tour with a pint at the end (wow!!!)

Have heard that the Jamesons Whiskey tour is much better

it's weird though, i never touch Guiness in the UK, one of the last pints i'd choose but when i was in Dublin, couldn't stop drinking the stuff
when in Rome and all that :p
