I believe that Nominet Solicitor Ed Phillips has left for pastures new.

If so, I think he's a loss to the Nominet team - I always thought he was tough but fair - and certainly always very polite! Good luck Ed in your new job! :p

Beasty

As I said in another thread, Ed seemed to imply that he was leaving but did not say whether he was moving within Nominet.

I agree with you Beasty...Ed and Michael are good people maybe they weren't happy with registrants getting shafted....given you have a legal standing like ed....would you work for a company that tried to constrain you?

I will agree with "tough but fair - and certainly always very polite!"

I liked him and I will be sorry to see him go.

How many resignations does that make now?

A little bird told me he was going to Fujitsu - so I'd stronly advise against registering any of their TMs as domains! :p

I didn't see this thread at the time - I'd stopped reading this forum as I left. However, I've found it now. Thank you for the kind comments.

In response to "grandin" - no, I didn't leave as a protest about anything. It was all very amicable and I have an interesting new job away from the field of domain names.

[Edit: I see that I am still listed as Nominet Staff - I can't see how to remove that, but obviously I'm not any more]
