Here's a broad strokes guide to finding potential leads in the .uk.com namespace (thought it would be timely given this sales thread http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/sold-domains/127284-sedo-sale-denwa-co-uk-5-250-gbp.html )

1) Get your full list of .co.uk domains

2) Search and replace ".co.uk" with ".uk.com"

3) Turn each domain into a fully qualified URL ("example.uk.com" becomes "http://www.example.uk.com/") - for example by using Word to manipulate the text either side of the "^p" new paragraph marker, or Excel's concatenation function, or your text manipulation tool of choice.

4) Save the full list of URLs as a text file

5) Download and install a copy of Xenu Link Sleuth http://home.snafu.de/tilman/xenulink.html

6) Use the "Check URL List (Test)" function from the "File" menu on the text file full of URLs you saved earlier

7) After Xenu has done its thing, click on the "Status" column header to sort the results. "no such host" means there's nothing at the domain - most likely because it's not registered. "ok" means that it resolves - which tells you that somebody is using the .uk.com that matches that .co.uk!

Happy hunting...
