i have just been on a meta checking site and it picked up that i had forum in the title and description in my meta tags, basically it listed it as "dangerous",could anybody enlighten me????,thanking you

My advice would be to ignore sites whose tools generate information such as that.

You'll find a host of words flag as warnings etc, its absolute bollox.

You want to avoid using to many conjunctive words if at all possible, but if your site is or relates to a forum of course you are 'safe' to use it.

I actually have a company site whos name begins with Forum, of course i won't avoid using that in my title and meta tags.

thanks for that???,i wasn't too sure,didn't appear on w3c when i validated the page so i couldn't see a problem myself,thanks :)bftuk

"forum" is considered a "stop word" in some SEO circles, basically saying Google etc will mark your site down in listings if it knows it is a forum.

Not sure what truth there is in it.
