Good afternoon all,

I sold and domain through afternic, the domain was in my tag in my name.

Then afternic told me to release the domain to NAMECHEAP-INC , which I did.

Now afternic coming back saying “In order to move forward with the transaction ,please update your IPS tag at your registrar to NAMECHEAP-INC and confirm once it is done. Thank you again for your patience and understanding.”

The buyer changed the tag from NAMECHEAP-INC to AXIDOMAINS

I need help to find the tag change history so I can get paid by proofing that I change the tag.

Please kindly help me asap

I don't know how afternic work but is the domain still in your nominet account? Have you contacted afternic support with this same explanation?

Afternic works by changing the tag where as Dan use to have their own tag. The current owner changed the details after changing the tag from nominet. I have contacted afternic support but they are useless and not responding in timely manner.

Anyone us can help me with this please

So afternic told you to change the tag to namecheap-inc. If you didn't do a full nominet transfer all that would have done is put the domain on that tag but with your registration information.
A nominet transfer could not be made by the new owner unless he had control of it at namecheap-inc as all the information was in your name and he would have had to change some of it first. So afternic don't control the account at namecheap?
This seems a very dodgy way for afternic to be dealing with UK domains and I'd be amazed that this hasn't happened many times before.
Either way your options are either contact afternic or contact nominet (who are the only ones who can give you a legitimate tag change history). Have afternic actually refused to help you or just not responded yet?
