Getting Out Were Do I Sell

OK I need to stop messing around with this domain thing an seriously knuckle down and concentrate on my final year a developing few sites in the summer for extra income.

After a year and a half still really don't get this business see plenty of decent search term domains on here going unsold or going for peanuts and then a fair bit utter tosh selling for XXXX every week at DNJournal makes no sense to me.

So I have about mix of about 80 UK domains most have exacts over 1000 and about 20 TLDs I want rid of. Looking at sales recently here most will only fetch low xx if I'm lucky

I'm thinking eBay just because its easy to start at low amounts without stupid minimum fees do domainers by on ebay if also listed in usual places or should I list on my own domain as for a few I'm thinking of contacting a few end users.

It seems most of your names were registered last year and if you feel that you have failed in your ambitions the most obvious pointer as to why will rest in the fact that you sold North-yorkshire co.uk for £60

you must not keep your losers and sell your winners for next to nothing. That's a recipe for failure.

Thanks for your input websaway this is one reason I think getting out is best I feel North-yorkshire was worth more the market didn't.
I only ever got into this thing as a side line but know find myself spending. hours looking at domain lists etc I'm wasting way to much time on it I have a 2500 word easy to write this weekend yet I've spent the whole morning reading about domains.
All the best names are gone and the market for quick flip low xxx sales seems to have died in the short period I've been at acorn.

You say the market thought differently about the value.
Domains are not like sheep, you don't have a particular time when you go to market and so that's what you get because that's the price the market is paying. Instead of spending hours looking at domain lists try to sort out some basic fundamentals on domain values, then look at your portfolio and keep updating your notes on each name, you may find things get easier.
