Hello From Sunny Scotland!

Hi everyone, thought it was time to introduce myself , seeing as I have been lurking for the past week

I'm Opti from Edinburgh - My full time job is making and retailing t-shirts (cad cut vinyl) which was funded from affiliate and social media services websites.

I'm not really a domainer as such - I just really buy names for development, though I am very guilty of buying way to many which sit untouched

- I do sell the odd domain and site.

Usually into .com .net and .org domains but looking to get some co.uk for my T Shirt business & some EMD's for affiliate sites.

I am really looking forward to getting stuck into the conversations on the forum, everyone seems really friendly. Also hope I will be able to help others with the bit of knowledge I have gained over the past few years working online.

Hi Opti - I used to own half a t-shirt business back in the early 90s. My partner ran the op, came up with the designs, got them printed (or embroidered) and sold them into shops...went from 0 to 1000 a week in no time - trouble was, my mate would come up with a fab design and within a couple of weeks of starting selling it, copies would be out that we couldn't compete with. Good while it lasted though, and great experience! Great seeing people out in top clubs wearing your gear...

Yeah James its not an easy market and selling online is even worse .. meaning if someone sniffs you are selling good numbers - you have competition...

It's dog eat dog in shirts and being out of ebay and having an authority site is the best way to get ahead.. (imho)
