Hobbies outside of the online world

What hobbies do you like outside of the online world / domains / websites etc ?

My number one hobby and passion is magic and magic tricks, and has been since being about 8 years old, and having spent over £500 on them in the past month, it has made me realise even more how much I like magic and would even consider it full time if I had the confidence to perform tricks to audiences / spectators etc

My wife and kids are my current audience with my youngest who is 4, very keen to get involved with this - the look on the kids faces when I do some tricks is priceless and worth spending hours learning the tricks, for that alone.

Earlier this month, I also saw Derren Brown Live in front row seats in the theatre, and whilst I am not a fan of the stuff he has done on TV like the "lottery results" etc, his stage magic and mentalism truly is amazing - especially when you see it for yourself and live - a true showman at his best

So what is your hobby / passion away from the online world ?

Anything involving a games console of any description and playing squash! Played a few games tonight, do love a good workout, pumps you up and I find it makes me feel more alert and willing to do more the following day

Rugby !!

I currently coach a womens team who are top of North 1 (one below premiership) and one of the midlands universities.

Previously I've coached numerous regional and county teams. I still play, but at 37 yrs old, I'm thinking about hanging up the playing boots and taking a ref's course.

Motorsport, Flying and Photography are my main hobbies.
I also work part time as a music promoter which is a very fun job. Not strictly a hobby as i get paid well for it but I do love doing it.

A great sport! I used to play it twice a week, but haven't recently (possibly something to do with my brother growing up and getting better than me ). I'll have to get back into it. I also play electric guitar which relaxes me, but not the neighbours. Through the summer I cycle loads, I try to cycle around Rutland Water at least once per week.

Just saw that you fly Jimm, my Dad has a private pilot’s licence. He's based at Leicester and it's always great fun going flying with him.

Church bellringing....

I learnt when I was a kid - a long, long time ago. Like many bellringers, I don't go to church services, but I love the sound, the complexity of it ("ringing the changes") and the very social side.

I like the mix of ages of ringers: tonight I was ringing with an chap who's well into his 80s and this Saturday I am teaching five 10 year olds bellhandling.

It's a lifelong hobby where people can find their level quite quickly - uncomplicated village ringing or mind-bendingly difficult change ringing.

Then you get the odd special thing: the other Saturday, we rang at a church where the oldest bell in the ring was cast around 1370. Yep - 640 years old or thereabouts. It's the same old bell - never been recast - it sounded good too.

I am just taking up footy coaching... level 1 so far. Thats the right colour bibs and cones in a straight line. Tricky stuff!

Cycling. Raced for quite a few years. I'll leave that to the youngsters now though I'll be doing some sportives this year.

I play electric guitar as well ... but I use headphones, I wouldn't inflict it on my neighbours. I've got Cubase and I'd like to get into music making on the computer, but I never seem to get round to it. I'm also now learning German. I also like getting out into the countryside when I can.

Snap. Used to race mountain bikes nationally, now race "crits" on the road all summer long around Yorkshire/Humberside (maybe Lancs - Preston Arena). Love it, gives me a reason to keep fit and i love the buzz of racing.
