Just a quick heads up on this one too, we have received the incident report from our data centre - in summary:
1) EDF energy cut two independent power feeds without warning, due to unscheduled maintenance.
2) The backup generator failed to start due to human error in regular servicing (as far as we are aware this was just a switch not pressed!)
3) The engineer is question is being disciplined
4) New servicing and backup generator testing regimes have been put in place to ensure this never happens again.
Overall our entire infrastructure was down at our main data centre for around 45mins to 1hr, with a few blips of uptime during this, as power was momentarily restored.
We offer our sincerest apologies for the poor service you received, and we feel incredibly frustrated that it was all out of our hands.
