Bulbs

Ah what to do what to do, usually I am more a long term speculator so don't need to sell anything but I recently bought Led Bulbs and have received a £2k offer on it.

Worth a lot more in the future I would guess but obviously a bit of a punt, still it would be a good profit, would you sit and see or sell and re-invest? To be honest it's just novel to get an offer so that's a nice feeling :D

Depending if you have anything lined up or if the price point you ususally pay for domains is lower I would sell. ie. £2k in 4x new names bought @ £500 a pop etc.

Also depending on the offer it could be worth a higher counter... :)

Don't have anything lined up to buy or for it especially, like you say could be worth 4 nice new domains, but almost certainly a counter offer- cheers Rob.

I may be insane but refused an offer of £30k for it today

No not the same folk as the last offer, you have to remember that in a few years time normal household bulbs are being phased out and with energy efficient bulbs getting bad press the replacement will be led's over the next few years initially in commercial environments, the domain also ranks no.1 so is in a position to do a lot of trade over the next few years.

Scott, you must have balls of steel and be made from girders

That is a colossal amount of money to turn down.

.

Well done Scott - It is the future LED's in houses, cars, work places etc. The low energy bulbs we use now are ok but are a lot less cost effective than LEB BULBS which will come into their own in a few years.

Another important thing for LEDS to work well........any one know?
Not just the bulb.

So that will be another good domain buy if the available's are snapped up quick!!
;)

Thanks guys, a 100 mile drive home today gave me time to question whether it was right or wrong, I am not a motivated seller and I think time will show it a good move.

I have taken a step back in time, I've banked all my £6 on the fact that new bulbs are useless and when the old bulbs are outlawed soon, people will try hunting for them. Remember that there are certain bulbs that can't be made out of the low energy material.

So I have invested £6 in OldLightBulbs.co.uk , there's got to be more like me who don't want the mercury poisoning, half dark, half light bulbs from the EU.

arh well probably another £6 wasted, :(

I wish someone would take my debit card off me, stop me buying any more

As everyone else is nabbing like names I picked up..

sadlightbulb.co.uk
sadlightbulbs.co.uk

I would have taken the 30 large myself :(

I wouldnt even reg sex.com :-D

Its true I would'nt even do a lookup on any .com or any other ext.

Not my thing :D

Just make sure you get out at the top of the market since when ALL bulbs being sold are LED bulbs, nobody will bother to use "LED" any more. Just like now I'd guess the average person searching for a "camera" automatically means a "digital camera" which is why the old type of camera is gradually becoming known as a "film camera"...

You can see this search trend clearly here...
