Hi all,

I currently have my domains parked at sedo, but have seen that many others have a different format, which I have now worked out is namedrive. Is it that this service is better? More money for clicks? Can someone please explain?

Thanks in advance

Namedrive and Sedo offer similar services in terms of parking your domain names and receiving a commission on click throughs on the website advert links that appear on their parking pages.

People here have noted different results so I suggest you try each service and see what works best for your domain portfolio. If you have a domain portfolio consisting of at least 200 domains or $200 in monthly earnings, we can get you listed into the Sedo Pro parking program which gives you many more features to help you get the best from the system as well as improved parking pages that have given us a 25% increase in revenue.

IMO if you are looking to sell the domains you have whilst parking them, then Sedo will more likely bring you interest from buyers than Namedrive will. Namedrive does however allow you to link to your own sales site with no sales fees if you want to try to market them yourself.

If you look at our domainprices.co.uk site you will see that most of the reported .co.uk sales we see are through Sedo. There are many others we do not get to hear about so we cannot qualify the percentage of total UK sales through Sedo but no other company is having the success they are currently.

Both companies post here regualrly if you have any further questions.

Thanks a lot for explaining that. My domains don't however generate nearly as much income as that unfortunately. I do think though that the SedoPro parking page is much 'freindlier' than the normal sedo parking page for us smaller revenue guys :(

PS
namedrive or sedo?
loaded question that, considering present company but admins right it'll take experimentation to find out which works best for your portfolio which means time and effort on your part

Not really a technique Charlie, you just need good traffic or if low traffic then a high CPC.

Just testing Name Drive for the first time. Sedo have been good to me on a couple of domain names but then i've got a lot of traffic on them. I'm hoping the pay rates with Name Drive are equally as good. I do prefer the Name Drive parking page, though.

Hi everyone, i'm new ! :p

You can list with NameDrive for the revenue and excellent service, point a link from your parked page to your own page AND list with sedo to be in their sales database.

All parks covered!

All the good Sedo techies and marketing broke off to form NameDrive with a bit of outside funding.

(don't take funding bit as gospel until confirmed by horse!)

That's interesting info. Thanks. Now I 'see' things entirely different(ly).

I'm sure they don't have to discuss that sort of stuff on a public forum.

no obligation!

Totally agree.... I just couldn't resist the "Horse" + "Ed" = "Mister Ed" connection :D

Just for the record... it was before my time as well!

Just to get back on topic ;-) I'd like to know if anyone has experined different performance in different markets between sedo and namedrive.? ie. do games based domains fair better at Namedrive or Sedo if you can see what I'm getting at.

I'm assuming both use Adwords to deliver ads?
