Need a new memorable number for a taxi firm and can't decide.

Can you vote?

I like the 1234 and the 6666 ones.

Probably memorable when you have had a beer too.

6666 is by far the easiest to remember!

There are loads of taxi firms where I live but ironically the only one I remember out of all of them has the number: 456666 :)

Rich

1234 for me, trouble with repetitive numbers nobody remembers how many 6's or what ever there is supposed to be (and if their pissed how many they actually pressed )- having a stop number as in 1234 is more memorable and easier to coordinate - besides with the 6's you could missing out on the religious or superstitious crowd. Admittedly 1234 is not so attractive to the eye.

So if your customers are repeat customers 1234 if it's passing trade 6666

PS I'd analyse a current bun given half a chance

i voted this morning and the only two endings i can remember are 6666 and 1234

for me 6666 wins hands down

thanks for the votes, regarding superstition etc if the 6666 was 8888 would that be better than 1234?

I would suspect there might be some who were superstitious, so on that basis the 8s might be better, but you'd need:

810 88 88 - More memorable as fewer different numbers

Rather than:

610 88 88

Rgds

610 6100

They all begin with 610. If you remember the first 3 numbers then you will know the next 3 numbers. And the last 0 should be easy to remember. 610...610...0.

How about 6 10 11 12 610 1112

Any number will do if its a semi local operation, as long as its slightly memorable that is.

people have mobile phones to store the number and cards on the fridge, but they only call the ones that turn up, dont rip them off and are clean.

If its for radio, then something ending with an 0 like the one my partner calls when were out in Liverpool, very memorable., 708 7080 when you meed a cab just let us know, davy liver cabs, grrr i despise the advert, but the number is memorable.

If it starts with a 6, then 6666 would seem better. I know my local area code starts 8 and the local taxi company is 8880. I don't have to think too much about it, especially after a few drinks.

610 6666

The possible superstition just makes it more memorable!

When you say "six ten double six double six" it is the easiest to remember.

six ten, one, two, three, four
six ten, double six, double six
six ten, six one hundred
six ten, six one, six one

Hmm...

I quite like:

six one zero, six one hundred

say it out loud :)

why is the number like this? surely it should just be six numbers?

ie: (AreaCode) 123456

Some places have a 4 digit area code to allow for more numbers.
Eg Leeds is 0113, Sheffield 0114.

truth is i can never remeber numbers, but words, well, thats different
i can't remember my own mobile number. true! as i never ring it, and can never remember
i have to go into address book for everyone

to that end 'if' i was going to remember any number up there it would be 610 6161
as if i can remember the first part (the hardest bit), then it would remind me of the last part

Cabs need numbers though, not just web addresses.

Based on most peoples opinions, 6106666 seems to be the one to go for
