Currently at final testing stage:

A DAC/Automaton client for WinXP/Server that runs in 32-bit console mode. It will be available for general sale in one week.

The software requires a Nominet TAG, and can be operated on a remote Win server, or a local laptop. Obviously a remote server close to Nominet will yield the best results.

Testing has proven its ability to catch. All parameters are configurable at low level.

It may also be operated remotely with a mobile phone like a Nokia E61.

I invite expressions of interest by PM, or email to:

[email protected]

Thanks!

Just curious, if it works and catches you some decent names then why on earth would you want to sell it and limit your chances of getting the domains you're after?

Hi Grant,

My focus is on software development, and not drop-catching.

Thanks!

Can I have a test? i.e. give you a domain to catch as a test?

You can view the domains Dale has caught at deleting.co.uk, there is now a search by TAG option.

Grant
Thanks Grant. Although to make it clear and transparent, I have only been testing my own client since 14th December and previous catches on my TAG were made by different means. To be frank, I don't have access currently to drop lists with OT; only the "old" file from which I make my own lists and do cursory research.

I suggest anyone interested in checking the success of this software does as Grant suggests, and follows my TAG on deleting.co.uk each day.

If anyone can point me to a source of drop lists with OT, I'll have a stab at some of those. I don't do ad-hoc private drop-catching.

I have had a few enquiries this morning about pricing. I haven't actually worked this out yet, but I plan a package which includes very close support with the 'tweaking' that this software allows its user; so on an ongoing basis it will be good value for money, but not cheap.

All my customers' configuration parameters (if they divulge them to me) will be kept entirely confidential between me and them, but I anticipate that there will be regular general updates, which again, will be included in the price.

I will require every customer to sign a mutual NDA.

I am also currently working on a TAG admin package for the same platform (WinXP/Server).

There is no Linux version, but this may change in a few months.

Dale

I am interested but obviously need to know if it's any good. I can't see that you've caught much recently so don't know how to proceed?

Can you please discuss the threads title/topic and not each others abilities and names.

Just a minute, the sales pitch says "Testing has proven it's ability to catch" surely if fair to ask.

no just you wait a minute, im sick of people throwing accusations around then admin and me getting threatened with legal action every 5 minutes. I wish you would all grow up and discuss in a manner suitable for the forum and not throwing your dummies out all the time.

It's easy to check. My TAG is HUBBARD-MEDIA and it's all recorded at deleting.co.uk under "who caught what". There's a new search facility now so you can see all catches by TAG.

Thanks.

Dale.

It looks like a good system to me and seems to have a fairly decent track record, seeing as noone else sells dropcatching scripts I would personally be grabbing his hand off for this if I was just starting out!

you caught one or two I was after :)

I have fixed the price of this software at £1000 after final testing over the weekend. That will include full support and upgrades for the life of the current product. I may limit the number I sell, so it's first come, first served.

Looking at the results I have achieved without OT drop lists, I think £1,000 is a reasonable price for the package.

Thanks to all that have given encouragement and shown interest.

Please PM me with your email address if you want to buy.

You must have a Nominet TAG and membership to use this.

Dale

Went for four today:

macowner.co.uk: caught
sqlhost.co.uk: caught
carnegies.co.uk: caught

Waiting on babyneeds.co.uk.

Not bad?

I wouldnt register those if they were free.

Have you caught anything that would make my eyes pop clean out of my head?

recycling.org.uk
linesofcredit.co.uk

Here's an idea:

1. You give by PM me a list of 4 domains for me to catch tomorrow.

2. If I catch any, I make the domains in your PM public and confirm/deny which I have caught?

Reasonable 'detractor' policy? Please confirm by posting here and by sending said PM.

BTW, Thanks 'Smith'.

Best wishes,
