At present the Nominet board consists of 6 members:

    http://www.nic.uk/governance/board/

    2 executives:

    Bob Gilbert - Chairman
    Lesley Cowley - Chief Executive

***** Taylor also sits on the board panel as company secretary?

4 non-executives (elected by the members):

    Alex Bligh
    Gordon Dick
    Fay Howard
    Jonathan Robinson

However under the Board composition proposal of the governance consultation (first proposed at EGM1):

    http://www.nic.uk/governance/consultation/boardcomp/

It suggests the board should be comprised of 9 members:

    Up to 3 executive directors
Up to 3 elected non-executive directors and
Up to 3 appointed non-executive directors

One director will be elected by the membership per year.
Non executives will serve 3 year terms, and will usually stand down after 6 years.
The Chairman will be one of the "appointed non-executive directors".

So if implemented what would the 2008/09 Nominet board look like?

Would it be something like this (tongue-in-cheek):

    3 executive directors:

    Lesley Cowley
    ***** Taylor
    Jay Daley

    3 elected non-executive directors:

    Jonathan Robinson
    Gordon Dick
    Peter Gradwell

    3 appointed non-executive directors:

    Bob Gilbert
    Anna Ford (famous person 1)
    Tim Berners-Lee (famous person 2)

So the membership would rely on just 3 elected members to represent them?
