Odd adsense?

Is it just me, but has adsense started heavily targeting ads?

I looked at a shed recently and ever since there has been a huge volume of shed adverts (not just on this site, but many others). The problem is that I bought a shed and I'm not going to click a shed ad again for many years, yet adsense is serving ads that I'm never going to click on leaving the site owners displaying ads based on my browsing history / cookies rather than on the page content which is more likely to reflect my potential purchase requirements.

Anyone else seen anything similar?

you remember about a year ago when they force you to put a privacy policy on your web site? when it says they will be using user's cookies for targeted ads.

AdSense interface (beta) had a change the other day too when clicking Performance reports, it doesn't automatically show revenue from URL's

You now have to manually enter them all to show otherwise you have to rely on the channel name you gave the Ad.

Seems odd to me, why would I want to see ads for things I've already bought? Guess I just don't understand marketing :)

I just dont think it works very well. I searched for English Country Cottages once, and AD showed me their image banner every pageload for about a month. I don't quite understand how it could be that bad.

I'll look at the link, however, as a site owner as well as a site visitor, I don't want adverts that people are unlikely to click on being displayed, I want them to see relevant ads that are likely to generate me income and add value to the overall experience of being on the site, not be followed by nagging adverts.

Imagine accidentally clicking on an advert for one of those blue pills and then having these ads popping up every other page you visit for the next few weeks - explain that to the wife :)
