IMO click fraud and adsense will both last forever.
Just like exaggerated circulation figures on broadsheets, advertisers will have to adjust their spend and calculations according to the prevailing level of net click fraud - i.e. non filtered out click fraud. Advertiser/bot symbiosis.
The result will be networks like google, yahoo and amazon getting less middleman cut from selling publishers advertising.
It may mean that people will start to advertise on sites that prevent click fraud best i.e. which get the best return (no different to now but more focused). Which should put pressure on us, the publishers, to report and where possible start to filter out bots ourselves.
It's hawk and dove. If botters? send out bots to their own ads, then short term revenue is higher, but long term everyone loses their baby too.
