we had a thread running where we were discussing virtues of .org.uk
i think it's fair to say developed, theres almost nothing in it
i keep seeing more and more
thought would post one i found and maybe admin could make this a sticky? as threads get locked down pretty quick and it's one where people may want to post one or three they find from time to time?

search dropshipping on google
dropshipping.org.uk is top :) (not mine)

search litigation on bing.co.uk
litigation.org.uk is top
top few results on yahoo.com global results too
top for uk results
was top google but fluctuates, now page 2

lots more of my own too to add, but let's hear your page 1 highranking.org.uk finds
mainly where it smashes the com or .co.uk

divanbeds.org.uk number one on Bing for "divan beds" if that counts?

counts for me
any of the top 3 are good and tbh bing are getting a larger share all the time

might be worth popping thses guys an email, theyre page 1 low down on yahoo
http://divanbedsworld.co.uk/
tell them youre numero uno on bing ask for 10k range

btw thats a really nice clean site you have there
how are you monetising it? affiliate . with who, tradedoubler etc or direct through a manufacturer?

Saw an article the other day that Yahoo currently gets it's search data from Bing, so results for the two will be the same. :)

A quick look on Bing I get these results
All .org.uk`s
All on the 1st page (uk)

JumpBikes
Deodorant
LoungeFurniture
BathroomSet
BedroomSet
Boys-Bikes
Cherished
CdRack
ChildrensScooter
CornerUnit
DiningSet
Double-Beds
DoubleWardrobe
PhoneCases
ReclinerSofa
PedalBin
ScatterCushions
WaterBottle

well divanbeds disproves that

Strange, DivanBeds.org.uk is #1 for me on both but just checked with Advanced Web Ranking and apparently they shouldn't be.

blimey, just checked , scratchcards on google

page 1, second from top, only second to the national lottery is a 2 word .me.uk!

i think proves any .uk can rank as well as any other , down to how its built, seo, links etc

obviously if you want to build a brand, go with the .com or .co.uk imo and are pumping in sheds loads of cash

but these little f*ckers are turning up everywhere

that was hand on heart first search term that came into my head

if everyone posts here we could build up a little table :D

I'm not sure I want to check any of my .me.uk's on Bing :-?

Nice spot!

I've got compareweddinginsurance.org.uk that I've managed to get to rank #1 on Google for wedding insurance. :)

It was quite a mission getting it there but I'm pretty pleased with the result!

I reckon .org.uk is hugely undervalued. I've been buying and regging them for ages.

I agree totally, definitely undervalued.

I'd always rather have the .co.uk (or both) rather than the .org.uk though. I think it looks tidier and also I've found that end users can get confused when they misread the domain or assume the domain is a .co.uk and emails/type-in traffic get lost.

dropshipping.org.uk has no competition and is a directory site so will probably have loads of reciprocal links, and all decent extensions (including .com) are parked.

Bing and yahoo is much easier to get on page 1, as it seems they rely more on internal links rather than decent backlinks.

IMO This thread seems like a bit of a promote .org.uk names as I own loads thread to me. (getting ready for bullets to fly!!;))

I'll agree with you on that one :) They also seem to give more value from links on social bookmarking sites (such as digg).
