Well I don't know how I feel about this. It's a metric that has been part of my life for over a decade, useful as an at a glance indicator. And now it is no more, Google retired its feed for toolbar pagerank a couple of years ago but then 'accidentally' let slip an update to it, despite their assertions it was no longer going to be for the public. I have no doubt it continues to exist as the main part of their ranking algorithm in a more complex form but the loss of that little green bar for us plebs is now definite. DA, moz rank, ahref rank etc.... over to you even more than before. Despite all the Google propoganda suggesting their ranking formula includes factors such as site speed, quality of content, standard of writing, mobile responsiveness etc, they are all still minor factors compared with the humble backlink profile which PR used to give a dumb summary of. RIP PageRank!
