Hi Mally

Cheers - Can you see all the post and threads? as there is nothing there when i log in.

I logged out, then back in and can see everything now - Weird.

Know this is an old post, but as Performancein has now gone over to a closed Facebook "forum" which appears aimed at Advertisers & Agencies wondered if anyone knew of anywhere else for UK specific affiliate marketing discussion primarily from the publisher viewpoint, apart from here?

There isn't anywhere. The 2 main problems are a lack of people willing to share stuff and an unwillingness to host some of the negative stuff there is around. Both of which are a direct result of an industry in decline.

Detailed blog posts tweeted to chief execs tend to work better at getting some stuff resolved these days.

As you say there just isn't anywhere, which feels like even more an open season on AM as there is not any forum that lets disgruntled affiliates check with others if tracking is down, of any paying issues, which way they've been fleeced lately, etc. etc.

I have been thinking I may have to start one of my own up, even allowing for all the potential grief, as affiliates surely need somewhere for support apart from the local pub as they're all flipping going too!

Isn't the affiliate model dying? Over 50 of the affiliate programs we used to use on various sites have closed - and that must be the tip of the iceberg.

Well it's not what it used to be.. but I'm still trying to buck the trend until I get some different inspired direction!

I think there is a demand for something but it means someone has to give up a lot of time and effort for not much reward. I thought a simple blog with comments opened up might be a simpler way to do it, rather than a full-blown forum? Not ideal, but setting up a blog takes an hour and not much maintenance while running a forum can be a full-time job.

And therein lies the problem. Who wants to call attention to the handful of programs they are still making money from?

There is always the arse end of the internet, where people make profit from telling other people to do what they do in different extravagant ways..............warrior forum :D.

I've not looked at affiliatefix but it seemed similar to warriorforum so I moved on straight away. If I thought people would use it I could have a forum setup with in the hour but I don;t have enough time to fart at the min so realistically I wouldnt be able to look after it.

Yes it's the time thing which is also a very big factor. I did look at affiliatefix and it seemed like WF so I too walked on by.
