PinkAccessories.co.uk - should i accept bid???

Hi all,

it has been a while! Anyway just got an offer on sedo at £750 for this name!

Any thoughts on the price...what should I be expecting for this domain?

PinkAccessories.co.uk

Also have... MaleAccessories.co.uk & FemaleAccessories.co.uk

a lot less than £750 - carefully...........rip his/her hand off! :d

I got a feeling it could be the shirt company Thomas Pink - for all you city boys that know!

I have responded with a higher offer...let you know what happens!

look, if they rock up with their first bid at £750 they are clearly prepared to pay more! And it is a fantastic domain!

If they accept my higher offer I will not be suprised and will sell it! Here goes!

It's a good name actually - Hold out for a bit more!

Good Luck Bruvva!! ;)

Here I go 'against the flow' again...

'PINK' names have sold for good money through various sources...

If you need the cash take it... Could be worth more to some BUT:

1) The potential buyer is bound with Sedo and yourself for 7 days....
2) If you reject and the potential buyer walks, you could be waiting sometime as it is 'niche' which I'm sure you understand...

That said, with the current 'pink' market, you could possibly squeeze more out... If they came in at £500 (not the usual £100 or so) then I'd have thought your right in saying they may well be willing to paymore...

Hmmm.... I see what you are saying. However this 'pink' market - namely the gay market and the pink pound is quite a lucrative business. This could be used for all sorts of adult shops for the 'pink' community so I would be happy to hold onto it.

If they accept my raised offer I will take the cash and use it for a house purchase! hahaha

Just edited/updated prior to your post...

Agreed, it's a big market... In essence, that can provide leverage to your advantage... As mentioned in the edit, if they came in at £500, they will most certainly pay more I'd have thought...

Appreciate were your coming from but G actually has an 'in vogue' name...

Pink has recently become the new green lately... As in £££ green....

If he doesn't need the cash, I can appreciate him holding out...

Progress update...

So I decided not to respond to their offer and they have now come back with £1,000 - I know you will all think I am being greedy... but have since put up a page and am sitting on it for a while.

If someone is prepared to pay that for it now... I wonder what they would pay in 5 years time? lol

I'd have taken the money at £750. If I'd have made that initial offer and it was rejected, I'd have just regged pinkaccs.com/uk far easier to spell and less likely to be typo'd. My spelling isn't great and accessories has far too many c's & s's

Hi,
i agree. sorry to be a party pooper. but when all the extensions are available except .com/.co.uk , why offer that? they could have the .net for a fiver.
also pinkaccessory.com is available so are the others. better word, easier spelling. i won't be regging it though.
where did you get these 'bids'?

Bids are from sedo as the domain was parked there!

And pinkacces or whatever you wrote is just no way near as good! (it is like someone having cars.co.uk and you saying karz.xo.uk is still available)!

And if you'd have taken £750... and I then get an offer for £1k...

I did also read that 'pink' is very 'in' - and accessory the singular just doesn't have the same effect. IMO

Sell it, I seriously doubt you will ever get a better offer.

you may have taken another domain at £750 but I doubt this person is a domain name investor - they are probably someone looking to start their own business... and therefore want the right name!

Geo... your points are appreciated

No one is criticising you for not selling, and holding out for £1k, just offering advice that as a domain name for a business it could easily be mistyped, not everyone knows how to spell so well as to get 'pinkaccessories' correct. Pinkaccs [accs] being the abreviated version for accessories is far easier to spell, and as a business I'd want any traffic I could get easily. Don't let the whole 'Pink' thing cloud your judgement. You really ought to take the money IMHO.
