Hi guys, just looking for a bit of advice!

I have what I would consider an ultra premium three letter .co.uk and matching .uk domain name - it’s a word in a huge and fast growing billion pound niche, and a potential category killer. I bought it for a project but things have gone in another direction and I don’t see my company using the name now. Fwiw, I spent mid five figures on it, so it wasn’t cheap for me to acquire in the first place.

What’s the best place to list an ultra premium name nowadays? I used domainnamesales.com in the past for other names but never had any luck, and I don’t really like the look of SEDO. I also don’t want to throw it on Domainlore at the moment.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

List it on all the platforms use your own parking platform or use others like undeveloped.com or domainmanage.uk with a name like this you need to wait for the right offer so it wont be a quick sale in that price range...

No DL is the worst place to stick any domain name unless you need quick funds.

outbound for companies use your premium domain niche or using undeveloped landing page and wait for enduser to come.

Doubt domain lore is the right place. Have you found out who to contact in the big niche companies and approached them yourself ? If its that premium a name theyd likely listen .

Thanks for the replies!

With regards to reaching out to companies, I’m unsure if the name is a bit too wide ranging, but I will give it some thought tomorrow and see what I can come up with.

I’m not in a rush to sell it as I’ve had it for quite a while now anyway. But I decided we will probably never use it so wanted to look at my options if I do decide to sell.

Will also look at listing it on all the major platforms later this week :)

Can you say what the domain is, or in private? Agree with others, if in no rush, just use a holding page from undeveloped, but if looking to actively market it, you need to get the message out everywhere. Domainlore can yield some fine results (as I and others have proven) but not really if seeking out a end-user price target.

Maybe 1 in 20 hit end user price on DL... it is what it is and very good platform for quick sales.

You can always test the water here... good a place as any.

You’re not going to get 5 figures out of it on DL, you just won’t. If you need money quick and are willing to eat a hefty loss, it’s an option. If not, not.

As others have said, you’re going to either have to wait for the right buyer to come to you, or do outbound to end users, if you want to get anything like value from it...

Cheers for the replies guys, and no it’s not the gin name.

I’ve thrown a basic sales page on it for now. I’m not in any hurry to get rid of it, and will explore SEDO, domainnamessales.com etc next week.

Thanks again everyone!
