It begs one question from me. When the point arrives for the landrush stage, what will Nominet do (if anything) to give a fighting chance to non-members to register a name? I'd like one particular LL, but it seems highly unlikely, unless the catchers offers some form of service here (and no, BA wasn't what I was after.)

i was under the impression and told they would be release on a first come first sever basis.

I think Grant is right, the landrush I presume is a stage just like the first two.

Following the two sunrises, there will be a period of open application during which interested parties can seek to register domain names not previously registered through the Registered Rights Sunrise or the Unregistered Rights Sunrise.

Multiple applications: At each stage, where there are two or more qualifying applicants for a domain name, an open auction process with any profits going to Nominet Trust.

Here's your answer to how he managed to obtain the domain names he obtained today. Took me all of two minutes to find. If it doesn't work, visit here instead and search for "Scott Jones" then second result.

Ah, didn't think to search by proprietor name for some reason, was just skimming through exact matches for 'S'

These short domains are GREAT for the .co.uk extension - hope they get used by the big brands.

Look at the first of my two posts. The relevant trademarks are listed. Trademarks can be bought and sold. If you click on Case History at the top of each trademark you will see who each former trademark owner was.

I figured that much but there's more to story than he simply owns the trademarks. How he went about obtaining them, prices paid etc.

Anyway, Congratulations Scott. Can't say I ain't Jealous but you obviously put a lot of time, effort and possibly money into obtaining them. Nice seeing an individual listed amongst all those massive companies.
