Selling to end users over the phone?

Hiya all

I have a domain im trying to sell to end users,

Nearly emails go without reply,

Has anyone ever had any luck Cold calling companies and trying to sell

Or know anyone that can do this for a % of the sale?

The key to this method is identifying the right person to pitch. This would be fairly easy if a small company but if you are talking about a global corp then this can be quite a task. I have sold several domains using the phone approach. Once you have got the right person's name you can sometimes spend days trying to get hold of them! perseverance is key here.

Make sure you have all the relevant details to hand since you will not want to waste time bumbling away (people are busy!) a quick introduction about who you are & why you are calling should start off your conversation, then if interested you can tell him/her more about the domain, what you want for it£ and importantly, that you are speaking with other interested parties as well and will sell the domain within 7 days on a first come first served basis.

You'll get the usual f*ck off responses, the tyre kickers and the ignorant but at least you know to write them off your list. The good thing about using the phone is that you have the chance to build trust with the purchaser, if you have a website get them online (when pitching them) and show them it.
