Can anyone recommend a good tablet for a 2 year old. It needs to be able to install YouTube.

She's loves watching her nursery rythems on YouTube and at the moment uses mine and my wife's phones. So think of getting a tablet.

It don't need to be a brand name

Thanks

Look at the amazon fire tablet, if you wait another month, for black friday you can pick up the kids edition with parental controls, a rugged case and a rock solid 2 yr warranty, where amazon replace them like its nothing when damaged.

Yeah Amazon Fire Kids edition is great. Although our little'n really misses the proper version of youtube kids which is on IPads so we've still ended up losing one of the ipads because the amazon fire version is terrible and not an official app.

I have side-loaded playstore on mine, and have no problem running any apps. Some don't like running on tablets due to sizing but the official youtube runs fine. (never installed the kids version, didn't even know there were one).

Thanks for the reply guys. I read somewhere that one of the Amazon tablets for kids was good but you couldn't install YouTube, not sure if this Is true or not.

My girls are fascinated with watching YouTube videos of other kids unwrapping new toys lol

Amazin fire kids addition seems like a good option then, i totally forgot about black froday as well which is a bonus.

I've installed an andriod version of youtube kids and given the kids account access to it , but its terrible compared to the Official youtube kids app you get on Ipad, im pretty sure its on the Google play store as well ( the official one ) but not being an android man i couldnt be arsed to try and get the Google app store to work with the kids access :(

@Recykool, yeah my little girl was as well. Now she watches all kind of stuff, most of which isnt even english :D

Kids these days are so hard to buy for what happened to dolls and prams and kids toys.

@Adam H it's crazy all the toys they have and they would rather watch videos of other kids playing. Haha my eldest keeps watch Spanish Peppa pig on YouTube and it drives me mad

haha yeah, Korean and Japanese do that to me, she sits there laughing at it. We can only hope they turn out to be little geniuses that can understand loads of different languages, unlike her old man who couldn't grasp German back in school let alone anything else :D

haha thankfully we haven't had korean or japanese yet, but then again id rather that than the other program she use to constantly watch on youtube and thats Blippi -

But at least its not all day, they only get it for an hour a day, the last thing me and my wife want is them glued to tablets and phones at 2 and 4 years old.

Haha yeah we've restricted ours to just before she has her tea, then it gets taken away because if we let her watch it while she's eating it would take her 2 hours to eat :D

lol thats just like us, no watching or playing with tablets or phones at dinner times. Having the tv on is bad enough.
