Sky card had a snap in it so I decided to ring up and ask about getting a new one before it snaps even more!

"No problem sir, a new one should be with you in around 5 days"

Fantastic I thought! Goto watch sky and it doesnt work....

Yes you guessed it, they cancelled my current card while I was on the phone. Didnt even tell me! So great, no sky tv for a week.

I would of thought as you have to activate the new card that it would update and cancel the old card at that point.

tell em you are going to cancel, phone them up and threaten them.

You watch the offers start to trickle down that phone line. I think if you kick up enough fuss, they maybe get one couriered out to you.

They had 2 engineers at my door within a day over Christmas

Managed to get some future discounts per month and refund on the time without sky but still the card will take 5 days to get here. There is nothing they can do :(
 
arh suppose if it can't be done it can't be done

Just a point to everyone, phone sky and threaten to leave, they always knock some money off, so do virgin as well.
