We are happy to finally announce that we have just launched a new Chat feature at Acorn Domains!!

Thank you for your requests! And, thank you for waiting till this simple job was finally done

In short: now you can connect in real-time with other Acorn members without needing to switch platforms or wait for forum replies.

Here’s how you can make the most of it:

What You Can Do with Chat

• Jump into various Chat Rooms: Want to discuss domain investing or bounce some sales ideas around? With time you will find User-created chat rooms for many topics. You’ll find spaces for talking various gtld domains, ccTLD domains, sharing news, or even a casual chit-chat rooms.
• Can't find a room? Create one!
• Message Members Directly: No need to wait for a forum post response. Just start a private conversation, say, “Hey, got a quick question about your domain listings,” or “Are you around to chat about that recent sale?”
• Get Real-Time Updates: Keep up with the latest messages and chats as they happen. You’ll get instant notifications, so you’re always in the loop—perfect for spontaneous networking and quick advice.

How to Use the Chat

• Enter the Chat: Just click on the "Chat" button at the top of the forum. You’ll see a list of available chat rooms.
• Choose a Room: Pick any room based on the topic that interests you.
• Start a Conversation: Simply type your message and send. You can even use commands to get tips or info from our chat bot (details on this in the chat).
• DM Other Members: Need a quick one-on-one? Just select a member and send a private message.

Some Examples

• Buying Advice: “Hey everyone, I’m considering investing in a one-word .co.uk domain. Thoughts?”
• Quick Domain Valuation Help: “Anyone available to give me a quick valuation estimate? I’ve got a potential buyer lined up.”
• Casual Chat: “What’s everyone’s best domain purchase so far? Just curious!”

Also, none of the chats trigger the smtp email system (we wipe it regularly) > so, will not appear there. Additional privacy for those who wish to create private channels/chats
