Swines! - I guess some would say you shouldn't leave your satnav/ipod in view but you shouldn't have to constantly hide everythign you own for fear of it being nicked!

Um guessin he probably put them in the glove box.

Its a good idea to also not leave the sat nav bracket on the window or ipod cables and that. Even the sucker mark on the window is sometimes enough for a theif to take a chance that a sat nav might be laying around in the car!

Luckily the area I live in everyone knows everyone. If my car got broken into I would know who did.

i have removed my name sean from your post and i dont appreciate things like that on a public forum

Yup we left the sucker in the window and ipod attached to white cable

Sorry paul

do what my mate did he was having problems fitting all his cars in his garage so one night he parked it outside to find some bathroom steward had nicked the interior of one of his customers cars, the thieves in this area were rampant thieving most nights so one night he left a car outside with a camera fitted to the centre of the steering wheel and rigged it to pir sensor in the car and it recorded onto his pc,we knew who it was aswell, another mate of mine was nicked for rigging his car to the mains(transformed) and when someone touched the bodywork it gave him a nice "fright".

Some kids had a go at my range rover while back smash the passenger window I heard it came out and chased them up the road. Police arrested them, forensic found some fragments of glass on his clothing. Anyway it went all the way to court surprisingly and then he made some story up in court that he was throwing a brick at one of his mates that missed and went through my window. Was bullshit of course but verdict was an accident and let off

2 cars in my close have been done, same thing looking for sat navs.

Police gave me a sign to put in my car to say "no valuables left in car on police advice" if I use that they will probably torch the thing!

I now have Sat Nav on my phone so less inclined to leave it in the car and doesnt need the sucker bracket.

They say dont leave your PC switched on in the boot of your car as they can sense it there and try to get it, not sure how, maybe they look for bluetooth signals?

Yup they did a car about 10 doors down, took his sat nav noticed when police turned up for him, whilst i was waiting for csi :) - a quick look and they said naa cant finger print the wet and went

Oh my god, we have just been robbed again - about half an hour ago whilst it was still dark, I heard a big crash whilst i was just getting ready for bed, i went straight to the front window in a second and saw to lads outside my window, I called the police straight away and stayed inside, police came in about 1 min flat and started looking and still are, i saw them i cant belive it.

When the third copper come on foot up the alley he noticed a bike half way down, i checked our back yard and our bike had gone, they threw it over the wall which was the crashing sound i heard then they must of come to the front to see if anyone heard.. they push bike is well rusty and has 2 flat tyres which is why they left it about 5 doors down.

This is 2 nights in a row, i am stunned - the police came as i said, and it only was one of my mates from school, even has same birthday as me, how wiered not seen him since school.

Anyway, nothing else gone, but i think they might come back after this - i am not sure if i should go out looking now, i know exactly what they are wearing.

Madness total maddness

Wow scary mate !

Thats quite bad coming 2 nights in a row !!

Why not get a load of your mates around and wait up for them tonight (incase they come back) and then just scare the shit out of them if they do come back ? chase after them with your mates and staffy !

Police are useless and can only do things within the law ;)

Scary stuff though mate hope everything is ok from now for you

ps you must live in a dodgy area ;)

I'm guessing it's the same people. Heard an interesting fact. if they stopped 10% of theives, 80% of crime would stop.

All you need is a security light rigged in your yard and they'll leg it.
