Hi guys

Would really appreciate your thoughts on a site/business venture of mine. Site is at www.growmysite.co.uk

Would like to know;

Thoughts on site design
Thoughts on the concept, how it is presented and if you think it is a good idea.

Really appreciate constructive criticism.

Thanks for your time

Personally, I think you're offering too much for too small a price.

If you're good at what you do, I'd go for bigger firms and ask 10x the price.

To me your giving them a great deal of information for very little and then exiting before you make the real money, which would be helping them manage their online marketing activity each month.

Think it sounds interesting. I am viewing on a mobile (nice responsive design) so I could be missing if exists, but be useful to see an example - even if fictitious - example, so I'd know what my £250 is going to get me. Would be particularly important to those small businesses - who appear to be your target audience.

My only 'gripe' is in your FAQ. FAQ by very nature should be (although commercial sites tend not to) be your most frequently asked questions. One such question talks about whether you would be interested in working for them - and your response is pretty much 'open to offers'.

If this really is a FAQ then looks like the worlds your oyster - but for me, if I were a customer, just sounds like your not really fussed or bothered about your own business.

I get exactly why you're saying it - but sure if someone was going to want you working for them, it'll be on the back of work done and they'll contact you directly. Don't think they'll bother looking through your FAQ.

If was me I'd remove it.

Always tough hitting the small business who are cash conscious - have to have a big sell going on. You've been in marketing 10 years so not gonna teach you to suck eggs - but sure you've got your own marketing strategy as to how you're going to grow this!

All the best

Agree - if you want to make money with this you gave to find a way of making this a recurring subscription service that allows you to grow your business, and prices, as you grow the companies you're working with.

Surely going to be easier finding 1 company you can charge a monthly £250 fee for growing their business with your report, work, trends/growth stats.....than finding 12 companies just wanting a report (for them to then be self sufficient) and then as Scott says, you exit before you get to earn properly.

Thank you very much guys, keep it coming. Scott - interesting point and one I thought about for some time. I wanted to differentiate myself from the standard agency looking to sign people up for 12 months and came up with this concept. I also wanted to avoid the route of 'guaranteeing' results for anything, I'd rather give someone the tools and direction to achieve that over time. But it could also be that someone loves the work so much, they then ask for help with implementation, which I can do.

CC967A (!) thanks for the thoughts. The issue with an example is that it may giveaway a lot of the pointers that I will give, and I don't want to give that for free. But it's a valid point and I'll see if I can create some kind of sample.

Don't like the "Alex Polizzi" reference. She's another one of these 'born into wealth' individuals that has grown up around a successful family so immediately thinks she knows better; which in many cases, she doesn't!

Agree, but thought it was a simple comparison that people could relate to! May re-visit it though, thanks!

I think the concept is actually reasonable providing your goal is the stress free solution to not committing to a client.

Providing the numbers/demand is there to have a steady flow of reports day in day out which realistically you could probably pump out pretty quickly when you stream line how the process is going to go, then you could earn a large income in a months time scale to match high value monthly retainers, just with out the stress and pressure of managing a big campaign or two.

You also have the peace of mind to expand and outsource, teach young padawans and expand a business which as no risk to reputations, no cause of concern that one of your new found employees which are not as dedicated , honest and hardworking as you might be to royally stuff something up on a long term clients campaigns , it will literally be a wham bam thanks for the 250 notes , little bit of support...........see you next time. Thanks very much.

Its more than do-able , if the quantity is there and obviously that the reports are considered to be worth the money. If they are you could have agencies on board outsourcing to you pumping hundreds of report requests to you a month. Stress free no client attached.

Good Concept.............not a fan of the design and logo though :) Good luck

Should have added that I appreciate the reference will be relevant to those likely to be interested in your services, who perceive her to be the oracle of business, so is valid in that respect.
