I have a decent account going on namedrive, but heres the deal. My brothers friend decided to add up a lot of clicks during this week, at first to "help me out" cause I told him I got some domains, but then he kept on doing it all week *cause he's here every day* and I have no clue how many times he's clicked, but I think its a pretty decent amount.

Sadly, my ctr is still only 10%, but all of those clicks I believe are from the same IP address that I log-on with.

Am I screwed?

What should I do?

If they are from the same ip I think they should filter them out automatically, but anyway email them and tell to cancel all your clicks from last week and put some sense into your brother :)

And don't ever tell people you get paid for clicks without telling them not to click

I sent an email to the billing department, basically the same msg as above.

I have a feeling that if you do click on the parked page links and it shows you are from the same ip address your revenue drops, maybe ED can confirm. or maybe its the 48hr thingy.

well

they will do something with you but its better u already send them email.

one of ma friend done same thing with me couple of months back wen i told him i get paid from google ad-sense and he bloody done some crazy clicks without telling me and result was i got an email from google with ma account banned.

i send the email to google and explain everything but they not bother about it.

m still looking for any advise as i can get back ma google Adds account.

Cheers

Let this be a lesson to all budding domainers.

Google Adsense have very strict rules, break them and you'll not be back (no terminator pun intended) - I've seen loads of posts from people who were either naive, stupid or both. If Google won't accept you back (which invariably from what I have read they won't) you'll need an alternate address, website, phone number etc to register with - move house mate !

Parking Cos rely on Google etc. and have similiar rules - it is probably easier to get an alternate account with a parking co. but I would try the honest approach, as I think in many ways that will serve your long term interests better.

Next time choose which friends you tell and what you tell them more carefully!

Yep

In the scenario of Parking / Adsense - you the domain owner are NOT the customer, you are a supplier. What you are supplying is traffic with some alignment of the adds. to the traffic you believe your domains generate.

If as a supplier you provide 'false goods' i.e. dodgy clicks expect to get treated by your customer (i.e. the parking company / Google) the same way as you personally would deal with the dodger plumber, electrician, roofer etc. that appears on Rogue Traders. Now perhaps you'll understand why they get the hump.

.

how long will it usually take for them to contact you?

Well after invalid clicks they contact you within 1 week and when you send them an appeal email to explain the reason etc then they can take up to 3 weeks to reply.

I'm not sure where aoaz got his timeframe from, but it doesn't look like anything that I've ever seen on ND.
On Rackdude's point. Yes, for any sign of self-clicking you will get banned and have been banned. Google don't tolerate any form of fraud with us and we don't tolerate any form of fraud as it harms our relationship with Google.
Our terms and conditions couldn't be clearer about click fraud and we will do everything we can to stop it.

Hi ,

Google disable ma account on 21st July and i send the appeal email next day.
when i send the email i see a text on the same page as they will come back to me withn 24 hours but i neva heard back from them and was thinkin abt to send another email but i thought wait for some time and they come back to me on 7th of August.

let us know if you know any quick process to contact them coz personally i agree with you its a long time to reply.

...................................................

if we think on google side then yeh they are 100% right but other side its not right as we lost the account for just as som1 make unnecessary clickc on our site (even we dont know abt this)

i think google at least give 1 warning before disable the account.

cheers

Well, it happened.

I sent the email to the billing department at first because that is what seemed reasonable on the website, either that or the tech, but when I recieved the notice, I got it from [email protected], which isn't even on their site...

:???:

O well, hopefully it works out...

Hmm, do you guys think it's really gonna be that long of a wait? Should I switch to fabulous or sedo in the mean time?

Click Fraud is THEFT!

You are a THEIF!

Fabulous will not accept you!

Sedo should see sense and ban your domains and the domains of all the other cnuts who's "brothers' friends' pet rabbit" click on ads.

This is happening far too often... we must act to stop it!

Ed's already made it clear (he works for Namedrive, btw, if his username, user title and logo didn't provide enough of a clue!) that you've been banned.

IMO I dont see the point of this thread, you cheated, stole from others, got caught, got banned... end of story... go play elsewhere.

Ok well, thanks. Ya, banned... learned my lesson to never tell anyone you know about your domains... the hard way...

I guess Imma take my domains over to Fabulous and atleast try talking to Namedrive unless anyone else has a better idea. :???:
