Please stop catching my names when they drop.

*The point of this post being that good domainers do reg my names when they drop even though they don't buy them. A lesson for others I think.

PS with virtualgold.co.uk please don't sell for under £5000.

So why did you let them drop then?

You can't have it both ways...

Your the one who allows them to drop rather than sell them in the bargain basement for some reason.

Your quite good at losing money, ill give you that.

Recently you needed £50 "desperately" so had to sell about 20 domains for the £50. If you had of sold 10 names you were dropping for £5 each then you would of had that....

There's no gaurantee I will get any money in the bargain bit on dropping names, we sell what we have to sell when we need it. As for losing money, where do I lose money? I've already explained that profit on others covers any loss on reg fee a hundred times over.

The reason this post is here is because I'm highlighting people (the great and good domainers) do catch my names when they drop so you're silly if you don't buy when offered the chance to do so. I will not sell domains in bargain basement, who needs £10? as you stated already, I needed £50. That aint £10.

Lee, one tip, don't ever look at the names you let drop to see if they were caught.

It will drive you insane and only lead to you renewing the ones you should have let drop.

Its so annoying to try and get the logic in your head and thats simply because you only worry about money when you need it. Have you ever heard of saving? Profit on others does cover loss on reg fee yes, but what you fail to understand is that if had of sold the domain names instead of letting them drop and SAVED the money then you wouldnt allways need £50 here and £50 there..... Its your problem if you cant grasp that.

I don't get an opportunity to save, I wish I did.

I used to feel like this with domcollect picking up alot of my drops (yes even .org.uk!) and it makes you think - hold on either we've both regged crap end of story, or perhaps there was some value 'in' these domains?

The problem is I think there is a bit of snobbery about buying new reg's as in - if its not 5 years old then its loada shite (often true) - same goes for bargain bin stuff :D

I think it's as case of belief in the domain in the first place and continuing the renewals. Exceptions are the obvious dead 'fads'.

No match for "deadfads.co.uk".
This domain name has not been registered.
WHOIS lookup made at 21:11:46 06-Feb-2009

Quite True..:D

I caught one of your drops and sold it within 6 days profit of £700!
