Godaddy FX fees on domain sales
I've previously tried numerous workarounds over the last few years - USD account based in the US - account currency seemed to default to GBP. USD account based in the UK - again godaddy seems to want to default to GBP, which I imagine is tied to your location. Difficult for them to justify...- getmein

I use Currensea (links to your home bank account) and curve (links to debit/credit cards) for spending and withdrawing cash abroad. I have found wise.com far better than Revolut in terms of customer service, Revolut used to be a little cheaper than wise but if your time is money I think wise wins. -

Why were .co.uk registrants obliged to pay twice if they wanted .uk ?
They said it was about choice - done to foster an innovative uk web space where new registrants could find new, previously unavailable names. If it's not owned by Uni/GD then why don't you try and approach the owner direct - will save them the Uni/GD commission. In terms of approach, if you want to finalise things quickly - work out a budget based on your valuation and go straight in with a decent chunk of it and you'll quickly work...- getmein
