Just saw this on FB... anyone have any ideas?

Nominet is getting into the fracking game. Not content with grubbing around and being loathed in its own industry sector, it sees fossil fuel extraction as where the real dirty money is.

Seems like an odd move ... a look on their website careers section doesn't even mention Oil & Gas. Strange.

very odd - the only two US jobs do mention 'pipeline' a number of times in the job spec :)

'The Business Development Manager, US will be responsible initially for directly building a pipeline of leads'

Well whatever the reason I'm sure it's a good use of profits from *domain registry management*. It'll no doubt benefit all us *domain registrars/registrants*. Only the other day I was wondering not only why I was unable to get sales support at a weekend, or why parts of the control panel weren't working, but also how I could best utilise oil and gas in my daily business and whether it would be better to build an oil rig or simply run a pipeline from existing supplies.

My understanding is that Nominet have cut a deal with ICANN to run a pipeline from Greenland to Glasgow, and once Donald Trump has purchased Greenland, they are going to melt the Greenland Icecap, and run pure glacier water to every tap in the United Kingdom. Hence the need for a pipeline expert. It makes sense. My advice to you as domainers is to start buying up names like GreenlandWater.uk like crazy. You won't regret it.

Ach... Unfortunately I just checked GreenlandWater.com and it's already taken. Someone must have leaked the information in advance. But GreenlandWater.co.uk and .uk are both available. They could be your pipeline to a million dollars. All those frozen assets just waiting to be released into the British domain name industry.

They are fitting fuel pumps around the country so domainers can fill up their vehicles with fuel made from "dirty oil" and pay using NomCoins - Perhaps a bitcoin spin-off for the oil industry ;)

Dont believe me?!! lookout for "NomCoin"
