Lee, I was the person who made an offer on aboutbaby I wasn't aware it was yours or would of pm'd.
I have seen your post trying to get people to bid on it! Consider the offer revoked.
First time i've made an offer via sedo. Not impressed with the process. I made an offer so feel it should be take it or leave it.
Not right that it goes to auction and keeps me as the highest bidder! If you make an offer to buy something and someone says yeah ok but only if I offer around elsewhere and see if I can get more. If not then you can have it. I'd say shove it.

Steady son, it's the first time I've gone to auction as well, you wouldn't say these things to my face so don't say them on here, alright. Plenty people do this with their sedo bids so I thought it was the norm, if no one bids you can have it for £150 direct from me but it's too late now, I've lost £35 and you're paying £150 if you win, you know I'm easy to deal with or should by now, a shame we both lost out.

I was just fed up of losing sedo bids when asking for more money, it keeps happening so I thought I'd go to auction and see if I can not lose a deal that way. Check whois next time. Calm the language, chill bill, take a pill will, sit on the window sill, look at the hill.

You're legally obliged to pay up if you win anyway but I've already said what I've said and that was much nicer, an apology in order I think, if not, not really bothered, being Millwall my skin is tougher than most, comes from not washing much you see.

pm for solicitor details.

p.s. there was nothing offensive in my post.
the shove it bit was directed at no one, just what i'd say in that situation on any other deal.

stender, if you offered £150 then you were clearly willing to pay £150.

Why does it matter that it's auction format? Either you get it for £150 or get outbid and win/lose nothing.

Sedo bids are binding, and if you don't pay £150 should you win, your account should be terminated.

And i'd be gutted missing out on those massive euros they pay per clcik. :(

I'm sure Sedo will. What is it with people this week? am I the only one that's happy, you're a disgrace. I hope you're all watching the behaviour of this acorn user, this aint on, if the sale doesn't complete and he wins he should be banned from the forum. It aint cricket.

I'm off out, Romanians are happier, mind you the sun helps.

I'm sure if I speak with Sedo and you pay them £35 then they will cancel the sedo bid on a claim of a misunderstanding between domainers. So you pay me £150, you pay sedo £35, job done and I'll see what I can do, I can't say fairer than that.

Not sure of the exact process here but from what I can tell an offer was made on a domain that was not accepted, and the original offer was not made in an auction in the form of a bid.

Therefore, unless that first offer was accepted there is no contract between the two parties.

Could be wrong tho :)

Took the words out of my mouth.

A offers 150 for name, B sends it to auction. Offer has not been accepted until the end of the auction.

A offers 150 knowing that offer is open for 7 days. Auction lasts 7 days, B then accepts at the end of the auction.

Interesting situation.

I will pay in this instance as I should of read the rules before bidding, but I don't agree with the way it works.

I made an offer- Seller then should say yes or no to that offer. It's not on saying yes i'll hold you to that but wait a week while I see if I can get more!

I now have to hold off on buying any other baby domain now.

Lee your off my xmas card list. I think you need to look at yourself re slating me. I'm not the one that's argued with most users on here this week.
As for I wouldn't say things to your face........You have your photo on your avtar! I would say it to your face........And you being a millwall supporter would doubly affirm that!

I offered £150 and get an email saying offer is basically being cosidered until ....... next thing it's gone to auction and I am the only bidder???????
How shit is that!

The domains go to auction it happens, if you aint got a single braincell that says check whois and email direct then go cry somewhere else. And come on rob etc you know how sedo works don't come out with all this now. Yes a little confusing so why aint it all explained to buyer and seller?

If the bid aint confirmed now, then sedo need to make sure that's true. how the hell have i done anything wrong, it's sedo, your mistake, live with it. I'm surprised at the attiude of pro domainers on here like paul and rob, what's your game, i aint the one pulling out of a sale, I'm not the one claiming that I dont know how sedo works despite being on the forum an age.

If the bid aint cosha then sedo have a lot of explaining to do, either i have a sale and I'm going for something higher or i aint and i've lost the sale and could have asked for £200 and lost the sale that way. So which is it sedo, I was fed up of losing sales after asking for more money, so now I've lost this sale have I? I AINT DONE NOTHING WRONG, THIS IS SEDO, THIS IS HOW IT WORKS, TWITS.

Read up on sedo, you post on here ages and have neevr heard of sedo auction, what's the matter with you. Your mistake, live with it, I aint done nothing wrong, I've been legit, cosha, played by the rules and just took it to auction, go and cry somewhere else and stop bleating on.

Ah diddums, it's sedo, read up on it. Next time check whois and save us all the hassle of using a go between who takes our money. I wouldn't mind but you're hardly new to this game and you're shotuing at me because of you're own mistake, excuse me for not caring when someone is shouting in my shell like when it's their fault.

Lee

For the record I don't agree with sedo auction as there should be other options and the bidder should have a chance for their bid not to go to auction and all should be explained in detail what the process is - is it explained, I've never bid so I don't know.

However I also don't agree with their pathetic selection of replies for negotiation, that coupled with not being able to have a decent conversation with buyer and finding the right price, sees me never sell anything through sedo and havent done ever, so I thought I'd try sedo auction, that way I still get me £115, but now it seems I might not, bleeding ridiculous.

And now someone shouts at me because they made a booboo, dear me, you couldn't make it up, and no you wouldn't say these things to my face, I'd walk away and leave you shouting at yourself.

Lee I was not saying you've done anything wrong, it's the Sedo system that's in the wrong.

There are different laws regarding bids via an auction and offers, a bid at auction is usually binding whereas an offer is just that, an offer, it only becomes binding once both parties agree to the sale.

Sedo cannot enforce the auction rules on a buyer until they make a bid in the auction IMHO.

Fair enough so sedo owe me £115. I despair at their shoddy system but you try telling a german about perfection... sarcasm. is that racist? probably another ist, who gives a...
