Hi, can anyone recommend a decent bulk UK overture checker - preferably one that they have used themselves. There are loads out there but some look pretty dodgy.

I would prefer an actual application as opposed to an online service.

Many thanks, Grant

It's apd and was offering the software (much) earlier to download for acorn members.

I have a perl script for bulk overture checking, it will also check the registration status of domains if that's suggested as worthwhile by the overture response. The whois is only used as a last resort in checking registration status.

I'd write a custom version of the script to your requirements - for a fee.

You would need perl on the system you planned to use it on, it could run on a webserver or your own PC.

PM if you are interested.

I'm tempted with domainresearchtool. Admin posted a link for it a bit cheaper. I've tried the demo for typo's but it didn't bring back ovt or a few other columns even though they were listed?

Thanks for the offer mishmash but I decided to go with DRT and can highly recommend it - Load it with proxy servers (essential) and it will scan ovt very quickly, the results seem reliable too. Cant speak for the other features (link pop etc.. as I havent used them yet.)

It appears that sensible results are returned for japanese keywords:

Code:
http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/?term=%E6%81%8B%E6%84%9B%20%E6%89%8B%E6%9B%B8%E3%81%8D%20%E7%94%BB%E5%83%8F&mkt=jp&lang=jp

You'll have to copy and paste because the forum code doesn't allow that to be a link.
