DL Sale: Gossip.co.uk (6,776 GBP)

No idea if its true or not, but I once got told this:

In the olden days, land owners and MPs wanted to know what was happening in the land. They couldn't check twitter (obvs!) so they had people they would send to the places where stuff was spoken about, like the local pub, to find out what's happening, and who's planning what etc.

These people would then report back to their masters with the details of what they discovered.

However, as the MPs and land owners were skin flints, and didn't want their charges bumbling around like drunken buffoons, they were told to 'go sip' at the tavern. After all, being tasked with sitting in a pub and chatting would be many a persons dream job.

Over the years this then changed into gossip.

As I said, no idea how true it is / isn't, but interesting time passer none the less :)

Looks like its going to be a wasted auction, buyer not responding to emails. So frustrating & such a waste of time.

i'll give the remaining agreed time by domainlore before publishing , incase he decides to get the sale completed, but looking unlikely. Nearly at the 2 week point

Did you manage to gain a response from the buyer for this?

He emailed me to say was buying on behalf of a buyer, he didn't have the funds to buy himself. Not sure if he actually had a buyer or was trying to flip it on to someone for a quick buck.

George Adu is his name, website is Silverspoonbranding.com.

Reported to domainlore, Hopefully will be banned. Total time waster. Didn't even bother to even respond to 90% of my emails.

Anyway, Sold today to Mark on here for a bargain (IMO) Wish everyone done business like him.

That's a real shame. Must be very frustrating. I don't know why people bid if they don't have the funds / or intend seeing it through, spoils it for everyone.

Exactly, really disappointing. Dont have the money then dont bid.

Nevermind. Not much i can do & all the best to Mark with it.

Hopefully domainlore bans him

In theory, if it sold for less than the auction price, you should be able to reclaim the amount you're out of pocket via small claims.
