Paper

whois said 'all the paper that gets used in the DRS! Beasty was telling me they require 3 copies of everything?'

I told them that the appeal did not state that three copies were required, so Nominet copied them, threrefore the appeal didn't cost a penny more than £3000...!!

True of appeals perhaps - but it is required in first instance cases - Procedure 5 vi.

Of course, if the DRS software was up to the job, electronic submission of evidence would be possible! Instead things have to be sent in paper form in triplicate.

Any chance the limitations of the DRS software can form part of the DRS Review? Anyone for a 2,000 word paragraph with all formatting lost by the system - lovely!

in my case

See in my case i relied on the electronic copy of the complaint.....the letter does not specify the number of pages in the annex therefore if the annex is sent to the wrong address (as in my case) you would base the response on the letter.....nominet should specify the pages sent via pigeon post....mortgage offers work this way

I have the following domain names which I have registered (I believe) in good faith:

egg.org.uk
brother.org.uk
moss.org.uk
sage.org.uk
tribal.org.uk
quake.org.uk

If the proposed DRS changes are implemented.......which of these names fall under "DRS recognises rights in dictionary words" ?

And if Fees "3. Introduce a system where the losing party pays for the decision" was chosen as the preferred DRS payment option - which of these names would I get a £750 bill for?

I welcome the safeguards for domainers however the UDRP for example does not "set in stone" the abusive use of PPC and resale of domain names. If it is written into the DRS policy all a complainant has to do is quote the policy and use it to prove abuse? i.e. you have finance software adverts on sage.org.uk instead of a site about herbs.

Also what happens if I have no website on the domain (no use)? Also on Domain-Shop.co.uk should I use "make offer" instead of giving a price?
