I'd say it will go viral. I can think many people who will buy this as stocking fillers for friends workmates teammates etc. I'll be ordering a couple.

Send some in to lads mags, you are sure to get mentioned in at least one !

Sort of thing I could imagine Jonathan Woss or Graham Norton showing on TV

Agree with the above suggestion - fire off samples left, right and centre. And perhaps see if you can pick up some cheap ad space on funny sites or forums. It's almost certainly going to be a one hit wonder given the nature of the product, so you want to make all your cash in the next 5 weeks.

For reference - and I know it's a very different product, but it was also a stocking filler with very limited shelf life - I believe the guys selling replicas of the Iraq "Most Wanted" playing cards made about $4,000,000 in a few weeks - then the demand fell to zero. Nice idea.

A good tool to use would be Cision for some quick PR results. Not sure how long they take to setup new accounts, but it might be worth looking into!

It's a good idea, although I wonder if PR might be a bit limited due to the crudeness and adult nature of the brand name. For example, The Gentleman's Sock might've been easier pitch. Then again maybe the name gives it a more viral appeal.

Good idea though. The simple ones are always the best

I'd think twice about having what looks like a personal address for returns, maybe consider a PO Box.
