Mark, Regarding the facebook buttons a share/tweet button would be good for people to share the actual page instead of clicking through to your page and liking your group.

I'd guess the aim is to get the product out there and having people actually share the page or tweet the page should do that better than just following your page.

ah i see, so 'share on facebook' and 'share on twitter' buttons as opposed to 'like' & follow.

I'll get that changed, good point :)

Worry about optimising your site later. Just get promoting it. It will go viral with or without cart mods and like/sharing/follow actions. Spam it to 1000's sources and if 50 of them pick it up it'll go viral I'm sure.

In terms of sending free samples out to magazines, etc. you've probably already missed the boat. You'd have needed to get them out probably two months ago or more if you wanted to feature in the magazine in time for Christmas readers. :(

That's exactly what i'm trying to do.

I agree, but they still have websites and social media accounts.

But not for newspapers like the Sunday Sport - maybe some giveaways?

So... how many have you sold? :D

not as many as i'd hoped!

I've been getting good traffic on social media, and the reception has been good on twitter. I'm hoping it will pick up during the Xmas rush.

Good effort fella and glad you just ran with it all the way.

The name or domain may get in the way for IWOOT type sites and so maybe "GentlemansSock" maybe one to use for the stores and affiliates. Just a out the blue thought.

What's the next one on the line of?

Thanks :D

I have had a little think about that, but I think if I were to change it to another name then it losses something and automatically doesn't become as funny.

I notice that IWOOT etc all stock these http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/gift-home-office/surprise-mug-i-m-a-tw-t/10604542.html which is a far worse word in my opinion.

I don't have any plans or ideas for any others haha.
