Yes, domainer writes book! Shock! Horror!

There is actually a chapter on domain name investment and there are others on ways to monetise domain names, mainly through development.

Really appreciate you buying a copy Wizard.

If anyone wants a copy, advance copies are on sale from Monday at Amazon price £12.74 (can be pre-ordered as of now).

Well done George ! Just ordered it and can't wait to read it - been waiting months for this :)

I am thinking of getting out for the last 2 years very intensely. I especially like the word "wage slaves" which hits the target on bulls eye. I will buy this book.

Didn't realise you were this far on with it George, last time I checked your blog it was at the printers. Once amazon starts working, I'll get a copy ordered.

A big thank you to everyone who has ordered a copy.

I've been working on this for longer than I care to remember and it's fantastic to finally see finished copies.

I genuinely believe it will be worth far more than the cover price to anyone who reads it. I wouldn't have written it otherwise.

As well as being a blueprint for how to make money online through domaining, affiliate marketing, Google Adsense, etc., it seeks to show that thanks to computers and the internet, wealth creation is no longer the preserve of landowners, factory owners and the like.

This gives each and every one of us incredible opportunities to make money and I hope Get Out While You Can will go some way to helping readers do just that.

At the very least you'll get a great insight into how a fellow domainer spends his day ;)

Congratulations George, remember seeing the holding page for this a long while back and can imagine how much of a great feeling it must be to finally have it finished and in print.

Not sure if this is just me or if others will agree (or indeed if it is already covered in your book!), but I always like to see how successful people are in terms of facts and figures. Read on your author page that you are now 'making serious money' - would be great to know more information to put the book into perspective, but I understand if you don't want to make that public.

Hope the first batch is a sell out for you - I'm sure all us domainers can help make that happen! ;)

Plenty of facts and figures in the book, but to be honest I'm not the sort of person who needs to continually advertise how much money they earn. I also don't measure success in monetary terms alone as is made very clear in the book.

What the book contains in my Plan B, how I organise my day to not only make money, but to make the most of my time too. Work Is A Four Letter Word in my book (quite literally, it's a chapter heading!).

What's really important isn't how much I earn, but whether or not my book can show others how to make "serious money". Of that I've no doubt.

Book

Looking foward to Reading the book :)

I would love to beat the ratrace !

Sitting down and actually writing a book must be very difficult and time consuming and I take my hat off to you for doing just that.

However, can you advise why I should take tips and motivation from someone that is not sitting on a beach somewhere?

Not trying to throw a bomb in here, just curious.

He does sit on a beach - he moved to the Costa Blanca a few years ago, I am sure George will fill you in with better details.

If I could afford to sit on a beach, I'd choose not to as it would drive me mad doing nothing all day :)

I've been in the position where I had enough to give up work [nothing special]. However it can very lonely and dull not getting the interaction with other people. I for one missed being part of something. Part of being Human is the struggle, so long as its not too difficult....

Couple of friends retired in their 30's and 40's and they never actually retire, they end up sitting on boards, do charity and all kinds of things...they still have to be careful with money of course. It's choice really, there are plenty of people out there who need never work again, but have to work or do something productive, otherwise they'd be in the "nut farm". I think I'm one.

Also the world keeps changing, plenty of cash this year does not mean that it will be there next year...or even next week and we all have to keep re-inventing ourselves.

Money is at heart a token that buys you time, and that's where its real value lies rather than what you can buy, it gets you options and choices. I think that's what George is saying, and for anyone who has read the 4 hr workweek, that is also a good read alongside George's book, because time is one thing you'll never get anymore of.

Looking at the economy right now, money is meaningless, rampant inflation, low interest rates, our money is deflating, and I cant help the nagging suspicion that its all an illusion where the odds are stacked against us.

Imagine you are on your deathbed? What would you rather have done? Made more money or spent more time with people you care about?
