Hi all,
I just reactivated my lovefilm account so am looking for some movie recommendations.
Any one seen anything good lately new or old?
Cheers
Ergh, I signed up for lovefilm on the PS3. Pretty poor selection of films for the on demand section, Also don't try watching anything at peak times had major problems. My internet speeds are fine so must be lovefilm.
Chopper, A Clockwork Orange. Both on the on demand section.
I watched Daybreakers last night on Bluray from Lovefilm and would def recommend it.

'boy in the striped pyjamas'
not going to give anything away, i love ww2 films anyway and very interested in the whole era but after you have watched will feel like mike tyson just punched you as hard as he can in the stomach, which is not a nice feeling, but very thought provoking and moving
zero gore
I'm not much of a movie buff but a few films I've recently watched and enjoyed are 25th Hour (Edward Norton - you can't go wrong when he's in a film), The Departed and The Girl in the Park.

If you like mob movies, 'Casino' and 'Goodfellas' are two of the best ever made. I expect you've seen them though. 'Heat' with Pacino and De Niro is also a class act.

One of my favourite movies is Papillon with Steve McQeen. I read the book by Henri Charriere long before seeing the movie. Both are really good.
There is also a follow up book by Henri Charriere called Banco.
All based on a true story.
That's the mark of a good film isn't it, when it lives upto the book. Reading the book lets you imagine it the way you think it should be - often the film can be a let down after.
