Does anyone have any recommended blogs or websites you read daily/weekly which you find inspirational (for business), or provide decent updates on moves in technology, especially centered around web design etc, i.e. just seen a report of a move away from floating menus because of mobile device usage increases and better image options than jpg and png that I didn't know about. Also blogs for entrepreneurs ....

Having been in the same industry running my company for a number of years, I'm now looking towards a potential future business and yearn a little inspiration ;)

(hope some of that made sense!)

domainsherpa.com I always find very interesting

It talks about domains but also developing them too.

It's interesting to hear people like Rick Schwartz story, or the guy who sold beer.com (can't think of his name atm)

I listened to this the other day - http://www.affiliateblog.co.uk/doug-scott-asap-ventures-interview.html

It's a member on here called Dougs, talking about acquiring and developing some premium domains like fly,co,uk etc was interesting.

I also listened to an interview from Edwin too a while ago, that was also good.

If any of the rest of you guys have done interviews about your domaining/developing I would also be interested to hear them

Thanks for the link Edwin, i see gardenbenches.co.uk went yesterday.

What about Edwin telling his sucess stories I always find Edwins advice pretty good and any insight from the master would be great :D

Thanks for the links so far; actually after general web based business success stories too, not just domains. The kind that inspire entrepreneurs.

Thanks Murray I have heard this podcast before, Edwin should have a youtube channel

The only thing I would have liked to have heard more about Edwin was the finer details of how you managed to acquire names like Britain.

Cheques with a large number of zeros, plus good timing and perseverence when it comes to chasing down and persuading domain owners. Not being flippant, that's about all there is to it!

http://www.david-carter.com/ - has some extremely informative material in his blog archive (well worth taking time to dig through older posts) about using domains to generate extremely high value leads in asbestos removal and other sectors.

I started following Donald Trump on twitter about 1 month ago. One tweet he mentioned was a quote from Steve Jobs:

“I'm convinced that about half of what separates the successful entrepreneurs from the non-successful ones is pure perseverance"

The full Steve Jobs quote was:

“I'm convinced that about half of what separates the successful entrepreneurs from the non-successful ones is pure perseverance.... Unless you have a lot
of passion about this, you're not going to survive. You're going to give it up. So you've got to have an idea, or a problem or a wrong that you want to right that you're passionate about; otherwise, you're not going to have the perseverance to stick it through.”
