I've been wanting to have a go at this and see if it will be a use to anybody else, if anyone on here uses it and catches, good luck.
Nominet tells you the exact second a .uk name will drop. backordering.uk is a quiet way to be there for it.
We will not win every name. Other catchers are fast, and some drops go elsewhere. That is the nature of it. What we offer is simple: place a free backorder, leave a card on file, and pay only if we catch it.
If we catch it and you are the only one, it is £49 including VAT, then we move it to your registrar. If others asked too, it is a short private auction between those people. If we miss it, you pay nothing.
You do not need your own tag, or a server waiting on the drop. You choose the name. We try for it. You take it if we win.
No subscription. No fee on a miss.
I'll keep an eye out for notis, any questions feel free to ask. Thanks in advance
