Apologies, domain in title is wrong and not the one owned by me

As many of you no doubt know, footie/footy is a common British abbreviation for football, which is the UK's (and I believe also Europe's) most popular sport. I've owned latestfooty.co.uk for many years but never got around to selling it, and I recently purchased latestfootie.com and latestfootie.co.uk to cover any other variations. The only other variant - latestfooty.com - is taken and currently listed for $2,695.

Could anyone give me an approximation of how much I'm likely to be able to sell all these domains together for, and also the place where I'm likely to get the best price for them? I can see them being potentially very profitable for a football news site or blog, but as someone who's never sold a domain before I'd hugely appreciate any help.

Thank you

Hi Hashim, price will always be driven by demand in the market and I suspect demand will be quite low for this group of domains. Your best approach may be to hire one or two freelance writers and bring the vision to life. Get listings and traffic via some of the big news aggregators. Then approach established news sites, bet operators, etc with an offer. I’ve done that myself successfully. One of my sports sites has over one million unique readers for a very small level of investment and the package of domain name, traffic, listings and content is worth significantly more than I would have achieved with the domain name alone. All of that said, if someone wakes up tomorrow morning having dreamt of setting up latestfootie.com and finds you, then happy days. However, I wouldn’t plan for that eventuality.

Thank you, I'll bear this in mind. Do you mind me asking how much you invested into this particular site of yours?

Sure, £2k for an EMD (included uk and couk), sensible hosting, and c.£3 to £5 per article (written to strict editorial guidelines) - so around £250pm in operational costs, with a small social media budget of c.£50pm.

The beauty in this model is an increase in editorial spend leads to a direct and similar level of increase in traffic.

I see no reason why these domains would be worth any more than you paid for them.
