Hello
We're putting together an affiliate scheme for a company that offers telephone legal advice. They're not ambulance chasers, they provide quality legal advice on all areas of law - family, driving, consumer, employment, etc.
Their pricing structure works broadly like this:
- For the first call you pay £60 (that's an unlimited call)
- You also get free access to a load of legal guidance material
- For any subsequent calls you pay £40 (again, time unlimited)
There's two packages, one for the individual and one for the small business so it's quite widely targetted.
We want to get some decent affiliates signed up - targetting these sort of end users:
- forums and communities with potential legal related issues (eg driving, consumer, small business advice)
- legal advice websites with good search rankings
- good legal domain name sites with traffic
That's the background...
I want some guidance from people that regularly use affiliate schemes as to the most attractive commission rates. Obviously, it needs to be as high as possible! But at what level would you be most incentivised? At what level would you think it's too cheap?
The prices as quoted above are yet to be finalised, but you can probably ignore that as they're not far off.
The initial thinking is to go for:
- £3 per first call for the first 10 calls in a month
- £5 per first call thereafter
- £2 per additional call for the lifetime of each client referred
As with most schemes, there would be a minimum pay out (say £10), with payments made monthly.
What are you thoughts on those numbers? Is it too little? Too much? Do we need to re-think the structure?
Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated...
Thanks in advance
