Final day of the auction, the bidding is at £1,250 with no reserve so get your bids in now!

My gosh Jack what were you thinking. Is money more important than one's reputation?

why be so greedy? I am sure it would have reached at least 2.5k if other auctions are any think to go buy.

Crazy, it's a nice domain but who would touch this now after the related scam. He has not only damaged his professional reputation but potentially damaged the future resale value of this domain investment.

He should have simply asked DL to add a reserve and stomach the 10% additional fee. Very sad for all involved.

It's understandable you were worried after not placing a reserve.

However, that was your mistake, you placed it up for auction without one, you should have lived with the result.

Artificially raising the price by shill bidding you might as well call attempted robbery, no better than stealing.

Seriously? How does any of this effect how much letting.co.uk is worth? I don't get it? I mean sure people will be cautious about dealing with him given his level of integrity but as far as the domain goes, it's worth what it was before the auction surely?

Suspected shill bidding above. Can someone check if Murray is really the letting.co.uk owner please. Thank you kindly.

If the domain goes for auction again the owner will find it difficult to generate interest. Who will he promote the domain to? Not the same bidders who now feel scammed. This was the best opportunity to sell the domain before the possible .uk release.

It is a common fact that auctioneers do not recommend withdrawing inventory as second time around auctions rarely generate the same level of interest.

I still don't see how this effects the value of the domain though? If someone wanted letting.co.uk and was willing to pay £2,500 for it. It's still surely worth the same amount to that person now? Sure it's not going to go down well on DL again as people will be wondering if the bids are legit - assuming it's even allowed a re-list. But the DL auction price is not the value of the domain.

Why would anyone trust the seller enough to send them a single penny, given what we now know? The "value" of something is irrelevant if the owner of that something can't be trusted to actually sell it to you at a particular price.

I almost wish there were more of them. Denys slap down is the most entertaining thing I've read all day.

WTF would anyone hand him £2.5k ?
Are you serious.. You would trust the guy with your money?

Thats even with putting morals aside.
Does anyone have any left?
